About the International Baccalaureate Program

International Baccalaureate (IB) is a worldwide college and career prep program with an internationally-designed curriculum. This program stresses the importance of expertise in all academic areas. IB is designed to help students develop critical thinking and research skills that will facilitate their success both at college and within our larger global society.

Honors Program

The honors program in grades 9 and 10 prepares students for the rigorous course of studies in the 11th and 12th grades. In 11th and 12th grade, students will have the option to participate in the full IB Diploma Program, the Career-related Program, or as an IB Course candidate.

Diploma Program

In the Diploma Program, students will take advanced coursework in all 6 subject areas; English, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Science, Math and Art.

Career-related Program

In the Career-related Program, students will take a 2-year sequence of courses in their career pathway and at least 2 IB classes of their choice.

College Credits

Students are awarded college credit based on their IB exam scores. A list of participating colleges is available at ibo.org.
