Bryce Hackett has been honored with a Public Health Champion award by the Washington State Public Health Association. The association recognized seven individuals, coalitions and businesses, including Hackett, that are working to improve public health.

Hackett serves on the Clark County Youth Commission, is the youth representative on the Clark County Public Health Advisory Council and has spoken out about the harmful effects of vaping and electronic cigarettes.

The active volunteer and student in Columbia River High School’s International Baccalaureate program plans to pursue a college degree in bioengineering and global health technologies. He will attend Rice University in Houston, Texas, in the fall.
