U.S. News & World Report released its annual list of the best public high schools in America. Vancouver iTech Preparatory made the cut for 2018, coming in at No. 1,384 in the nation and 20th in the state of Washington. The project-based learning school earned a silver medal, indicating top-performing status.
Rankings are based on schools’ test scores, Advanced Placement and/or International Baccalaureate data and graduation rates. Eighty-eight public high schools in Washington earned placement on the list. Nine schools received gold medals, 38 netted silver medals and 41 took home bronze medals.
This is iTech Prep’s first appearance on the list. Columbia River High School, Skyview High School and Vancouver School of Arts and Academics also have medaled.
