Connor Rasmussen, Skyview High School, and Nicholas Neathamer, Columbia River High School, were named Semifinalists in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Rasmussen is enrolled in rigorous Advanced Placement courses and plays the oboe in the Skyview orchestra and the Junior Symphony of Vancouver. He also is a member of the Storm tennis team and is an avid movie buff. Rasmussen plans to study medicine or archeology in college.
Neathamer is a full IB diploma student and is involved in National Honor Society and Key Club. He plays tennis and baseball for the Chieftains. Neathamer plans to study pre-law or pre-med and hopes to attend Stanford, Claremont McKenna or the University of Washington.
