The iTech Prep chapter of the Washington Technology Student Association, or WTSA, received the White Chapter Affiliation Program Award for its recruitment efforts. With 33 members at the middle-school level, iTech Prep’s chapter enrollment surpassed that of other chapters with greater than 10 members that didn’t enroll every student in their school.
The iTech chapter, advised by Cyndy Hagin, received the award at the WTSA state conference, held March 31 through April 2 near Seattle, Washington.
In addition, iTech students Olivia McNabb, Kassandra Vogel and Sophia Zabell placed fifth in the Medical Technology Issues competition. The team identified and researched a medical technology issue and created a display to present the issue.
