The students of Eleanor Roosevelt Elementary School hail from 42 different countries and speak 24 different languages, but they all have at least one thing in common: friendship. On Friday, June 12, 2015, they will celebrate International Friendship Day in an all-school assembly at 1:30 p.m.
The celebration will include student performances of dances from Mexico, Russia, Greece, Africa, Polynesia, India, Indonesia and the United States. Flags from 42 countries will be presented, and students also will receive awards for building international friendships and being school ambassadors.
