Watch Fort Vancouver High School seniors Maria Hernandez and Luna Garcia testify in support of House Bill 1512, which proposes an expansion of eligibility for the College Bound scholarship. The pair also met with representatives to discuss the issue.
This is not the first time that Garcia and Hernandez, who also are members of the LULAC Youth Council, have demonstrated their leadership skills. Last September, the two seniors represented the Pacific Northwest at the Washington Youth Leadership Seminar.
