Thanks to a bond measure that voters approved in February 2017, a new elementary school will be built at NE 25th Avenue south of 88th Street. The new school will help reduce overcrowding in the district. Construction is projected to begin in summer 2021.
The design of the new school is in progress, but will highlight features of the natural environment and offer opportunities for indoor and outdoor learning.
The new school’s two-story design, developed with input from staff members, will be located on the same site, but slightly to the east of the current structure.
