Students, families, friends and alumni came together at the closing activity and carnival at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School on May 18. The carnival, organized by the Parent Teacher Organization, featured games, student performances and entertainment including a mariachi band and Ballet Folklorico. A slide show, photos and news articles featured nearly five decades of King people and memories.

King staff and students will occupy the old Ogden school during the 2019-20 school year as their building is demolished to make room for construction. The new school is projected to open in fall 2020.
