Second radon testing at GATE, Marshall Elementary and the Lieser Campus

After routine radon testing in late February at GATE, Marshall Elementary and the Lieser Campus indicated elevated levels in one or more rooms, Vancouver Public Schools took immediate steps to improve ventilation in the affected areas and retest.

Results of the second test showed that average levels at these three locations are now below the U.S. EPA’s action level of 4.0 picocuries per liters of air (pCi/L).

  • GATE: 1.4 pCi/L
  • Lieser: 2.4 pCi/L
  • Marshall: 1.2 pCi/L
