An increase in state funding allows the district to offer free full-day kindergarten at all 21 of its elementary schools for the 2013-14 school year. In prior years, free full-day kindergarten was offered at select schools with high numbers of students living in poverty. In addition, tuition-based kindergarten programs were offered at some schools.
