Today after a full day of state-supported mediation, Vancouver Public Schools and Vancouver Association of Educational Support Professionals reached a tentative agreement on a new contract for secretaries, clerks and paraprofessionals.
Details of the settlement will be released when VAESP schedules a ratification vote after the winter break.
“I am grateful to the bargaining teams for working very hard together to come to an agreement,” said VPS Superintendent Steve Webb. “And, I especially want to thank our staff members for their patience and understanding as we completed this process.”
