First-grade teacher Hsin-yi Hu is committed to her Franklin Elementary students and sets high expectations for each of them. Her classroom activities are highly engaging and interactive. As the original Mandarin Immersion teacher, Hsin-yi laid the foundation for this program of choice with the first kindergarten class in 2009. Today students from kindergarten through fifth-grade are learning and speaking Mandarin thanks to Hsin-yi and her fellow teachers.
