After setting its sights on and claiming the district volleyball title, Columbia River High School netted a fourth-place finish at the 2018 2A volleyball state championships. The varsity team includes Emma Adams, Alyssa Fire, Jayden Foster, Corin Gutierrez, Victoria Iverson, Makenah Jackson, Isabella Ness, Rylie Reeves, Maddie Sheron, Sydney Waite, Alicia Wallingford, Lexi Williams, Hallie Worden and Riley Zanas. Breanne Smedley is the varsity coach.

Girls’ soccer

Columbia River High School’s girls’ soccer team also clinched a district championship, its third in a row, and earned its third consecutive trip to the 2A state tournament, where it placed third. The varsity team includes Anna Benson, Liz Canton, Julia Cash, Kyla Castro, Olivia Colgate, Shalece Easley, Merritt Fielding, Sydney Flores-Tucker, Ava Greer, Reggie Griffith, Abbigail Harris, Anna Iniguez, Sydney Johnson, Gracia Larson, Ella Osborne, Yaneisy Rodriguez, Grace Russell, Alex Schulz, Julia Skimas, Makenna Stansberry, Jissel Valencia-Mendez and Josie Vantilburg. Filly Afenegus is the head coach.
