On Aug. 18, Gov. Inslee announced that all K-12 school district and higher education employees, including substitutes, will be required to get a COVID-19 vaccination. This is a state-mandated requirement for public, private and charter schools and educational service districts. The governor’s order allows for medical and religious exemptions. The deadline for all current employees and substitutes to be fully vaccinated, or have an approved exemption on file, is Oct. 18, 2021.
People applying for employment with Vancouver Public Schools will be asked to provide proof of vaccination, a medical exemption from their healthcare provider, or an approved religious exemption. The religious exemption form can be found with the application materials in the links below.
