The College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level classes in a wide variety of subjects that can be taken while still in high school. These classes are high-level advanced courses in high school that can earn a student college credit and/or qualify a student for more advanced classes when beginning college. The courses are designed to give student the experience of an intro-level college course while in high school. Vancouver Public Schools continue to encourage and support a college-going culture by offering Advanced Placement courses and exams free to students enrolled in Vancouver Public Schools high school programs.

High school students enrolled in AP courses are encouraged to take the AP exams administered through the College Board for the opportunity to receive college credit, saving students and families hundreds of dollars. College credit for exams is specific to each college or university.

AP students, parents and guardians received online registration information in February for the May AP exams. All registrations close Friday, March 9. If your student has not received the online registration link and would like one, please contact the AP coordinator below.

For more information on AP exams and preparing for them, go to https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/home.
