About the Facility
This state-of-the-art, 8,842-square-foot facility offers district students hands-on training in welding, advanced manufacturing, fabrication, precision machining, and emerging technologies. Designed to prepare students for high-demand trade careers, the center features 16 professional welding booths, precision lathes, 3D printers, and industry-standard equipment.
Starting in the 2026-27 school year, students will participate in a daily design-to-production learning model – taking projects from initial concept all the way to finished product. The program also integrates robust career development tools, including guest speakers, hands-on job training, recruitment events, and paid internships.
Community-Funded Success
This facility was built entirely without taxpayer dollars. The project was facilitated through the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools and made possible thanks to generous support from the Ed & Dollie Lynch Fund, in-kind contributions from Jon Girod and Dennis Wubben, and partnerships with local contractors.
All community members are welcome to attend and tour the space!
