Gaiser, video production

Seven short films created by aspiring filmmakers from Gaiser Middle School were accepted into the 2017 Viewfinder Film Festival:

  • “See You Again” (music video) by Nicholas Poshelyuznyy, Daniel Labach, Alden Roberts and Brallan Morelos-Cruz
  • “Daniel’s Lost Glasses” by Nickolas Poshelyuznyy and Brallan Morelos-Cruz
  • “A Day in the Life of a Bracelet” by Brian Reyes and Jennifer Espindola
  • “School’s Out” (music video) by Cody Huebner, Elijah Covington, Yamel Lopez-Gonzalez and Colt Taub
  • “The Hand” by Hayden Haynes and Andrew Field

In addition to selection for the festival, two Gaiser students’ films also received awards.

  • Middle School Teacher’s Choice winner: “Let Me Love You” (music video) by Trinityi Adams, Mariana Rodriguez, Joseph Perez, Queen Truong and Sam McKeehen
  • Middle School Audience Choice winner: “I Don’t Know My Name” (music video) by Ryli Sharp, Emilee Roberts, Elisabeth Oberst and Salina Zaldivar

Karina Tobin is their video production teacher.

Gaiser students’ films represented seven out of the 11 total selections for the middle school category of the festival, whose theme was “Share Your View.” The festival showcases works by students in sixth through 12th grades. Selected films were shown at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, Oregon, on June 11.
