“Clean schools are green schools, and green schools rock!” That’s the message in Gaiser Middle School’s third-place video in Washington Green Schools’ annual contest.

The video, created by eighth-graders Isaiah Hiebert, Camryn Jennings, Benji Monterroso and Brandon Sante, competed against submissions from public and private schools around the state, including 30 entries from Gaiser alone. The challenge—answer, in 90 seconds or less, two big-picture questions: How do we cultivate a sustainable future? How can kids lead the way?

For their third-place finish, Hiebert, Jennings and Sante received T-shirt prizes. The video also will be publicized and promoted on Washington Green Schools’ website. Their adviser is Karina Tobin.
