We are sad to share the following news.
There was a shooting today in the parking lot at Anderson Elementary at approximately 3:15 p.m. after the school day had ended.
The shooting involved two adult victims and one adult suspect.
No students or staff members were injured.
There is no danger to the public at this time.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and will provide further information.
Our thoughts are with the victims, students, families, staff and the entire Anderson community. We will support them however we can.
VPS will provide additional counseling services and security personnel in the district when students and staff return on Monday, Dec. 2.

Hoy hubo un tiroteo en el estacionamiento de la Escuela Primaria Anderson aproximadamente a las 3:15 de la tarde después de la salida de clases.
En el tiroteo estuvieron involucradas dos víctimas adultas y una persona adulta sospechosa. Ningún estudiante ni miembro del personal escolar resultaron heridos.
No hay peligro para el público al momento.
La oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Clark está investigando y proveerá más información.
