Recognizing that school principals are not digital natives like their young students, Vancouver Public Schools’ team of instructional technology facilitators developed a program to train school administrators as edtech leaders in their schools.
The program, Future Ready Administrators, was featured as a December 2018 Schools of TechXcellence honoree by District Administration.
Principals in the program commit to two years of educational technology training in order to be leaders in their schools for innovative educational use of technology. During the second year, principals become mentors to the next group of administrators entering the program.
