The economics of supply and demand proved to be a win-win for Fort Vancouver High School’s welding and fabrication students and Harney Elementary School. Fort students built a commercial-grade steel rack to hold physical education and recess equipment. Harney had been purchasing racks made out of PVC plastic, which didn’t hold up to the task at hand. The new, fabricated steel rack carries a lifetime warranty and cost only one-fifth the price.
