To reduce class sizes in kindergarten through third grades, the district will construct new classrooms at five schools beginning in fall 2018 using bond funds and a grant from the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. Eisenhower Elementary will receive two classrooms and support spaces. Felida Elementary will gain four classrooms, an art space and a secure outdoor courtyard. Six classrooms and a co-op space will be coming to Fruit Valley Community Learning Center. Harney Elementary will see four new classrooms and Salmon Creek elementary will see two new classrooms.
