The public is invited to dedication ceremonies for five replacement schools that opened over the past two years. McLoughlin Middle School and Marshall, Truman and King elementary schools opened last fall, but formal dedication ceremonies were postponed due to the pandemic. Walnut Grove Elementary School opened on the first day of school this year. A dedication ceremony for the Jim Tangeman Center, which replaced Fir Grove Children’s Center, was held Sept. 29.
These schools were rebuilt thanks to a capital bond program passed by voters in 2017.
Each dedication will feature opening remarks, ribbon cuttings and self-guided tours of the schools.
Masks or facial coverings are required while inside the schools.
