What’s new in construction around the district

Construction and upgrades are continuing throughout the district. Now four-and-a-half years into the active design and construction work, the bond program is more than halfway through.

“Although the pandemic has delayed welcoming the public into new schools, the buildings are being used by small groups of students and staff, who are happy to be back at school,” said Superintendent Steve Webb. “We look forward to the day when we can safely welcome everyone back.”

This and more stories originally appeared in the January 2021 issue of Inside Vancouver Public Schools. The print version of this story incorrectly stated that the Lake Shore fitness path was paid for by bond dollars. It was paid for by the school’s Parent-Teacher Association, and the project was almost two decades in the making. We regret the error.
