Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program logoWe are always looking for ways to create healthier school environments, and we are excited to share that the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) in our elementary schools has expanded this year. We now have ten elementary schools participating and this healthy midday snack is served to approximately 4,500 VPS students each day!

The purpose of the FFVP, supported by the USDA and OSPI, is to increase the variety and frequency of fruits and vegetables that children eat and to positively influence their life-long healthy eating habits
