Columbia River High School International Baccalaureate physics teacher Chris Molyneux is a recipient of a STEM Teaching Tools grant from the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association. The $1,000 grant is awarded to educators who teach middle or high school STEM—science, technology, engineering or math. The grant, one of three that Molyneux is eligible to receive, accompanies a $5,000 scholarship he earned in 2013. Funds from the Teaching Tools grant will be used to purchase lab equipment.

This is Molyneux’s first year teaching at Columbia River. Previously he student-taught at Hudson’s Bay High School and was a long-term substitute at Hudson’s Bay and Heritage high schools.
