As we approach the end of our school year, we would like to update you on administrative changes resulting from retirements, new positions, and also adjustments to staffing levels as needed to match individual schools’ enrollment and student needs.

We want to keep you informed about both who is leading the district and your child’s school. Here are the recent and upcoming changes to administration that will begin in the 2023-24 school year:

District Office Leadership Changes

  • Darci Fronk, Director of Curriculum and Instruction is retiring. 
  • Kris Janati has accepted the position of Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment (K-5).
  • Brian Graham, currently a Principal in the Camas School District has accepted the position of Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment (6-12).
  • Jami Phelps has accepted the position of Director of Special Services following our loss of Laura Bergeron earlier this school year. 
  • Jacquelyn Meza, current Special Ed Instructional Specialist, and Amy Coats, current interim Assistant Director of Special Services,  have accepted positions as Assistant Directors of Special Services. 
  • Erin Curtin, current Assistant Director of Special Services, has resigned as her family is relocating to Ohio. 
  • Christina Iremonger, Chief Technology Officer, retired in December and was replaced by Dennis Moxley who previously served as Director of Technology Services. 
  • Mychael Irwin, Director of Professional Development is retiring.
  • Kirsten Copeland has accepted the position of Director of Professional Development.

Principal and Associate Principal Changes

  • Sarah Flynn has accepted the position of Principal at our new Ruth Bader Ginsburg Elementary School. 
  • Lincoln Elementary Principal Steve Lindblom is retiring. He will be replaced by Sarita Williams who most recently served as a Middle School Principal for the Kent School District.  
  • Casey Greco, current Associate Principal of Felida Elementary, has accepted the Principal position at Felida Elementary following Kris Janati’s resignation in order to accept the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment (K-5) position. 
  • Troy Winzer, Minnehaha Elementary Principal, has accepted an Associate Principal position and will be splitting his time between Skyview High School and Fort Vancouver High School. 
  • Travis Boeh, current Principal of McLoughlin Middle School, has accepted the Principal position at Minnehaha Elementary School. 
  • Sara Tackett, current Associate Principal of McLoughlin Middle School, will serve as Interim Principal of McLoughlin Middle School.
  • Jennifer Johnson, Associate Principal at Columbia River High School, has accepted a position with Ridgefield School District. 
  • Zach Tautfest, current Associate Principal at iTech, will also be serving as an associate principal position at VSAA splitting time between the two schools based on enrollment/staffing ratios. 
  • Jody Videlco, Associate Principal at Walnut Grove Elementary School is retiring. She will be replaced by Sondra Pamioryan, who is currently serving as McLoughlin Middle School’s associate principal.
  • Melle Solles, current Associate Principal of King Elementary School, will serve as Interim Principal of King Elementary School.
