With funds from a bond measure that local voters approved in 2017, Columbia River High School is receiving several upgrades, including a new 500 wing that will, along with other improvements, expand the school’s capacity for an additional 200 students.
The new addition includes:
- Four general classrooms
- Four science classrooms (two for chemistry, one for physics, one for mechatronics)
- A large, centralized space for collaboration and projects
- Four secure external learning courtyards
- Restrooms
The addition is connected to the main building with an enclosed corridor for safe, easy access. The addition is projected to be finished in late fall 2020 or early in 2021.
