Annika Hamilton, a student at Vancouver iTech Preparatory, recently served as a page in the Washington state House of Representatives. She was sponsored by state Rep. Jim Moeller.
Pages perform a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor. In addition to assisting the operations of the Legislature, pages receive daily civics instruction, draft their own bills and participate in mock committee hearings.
Hamilton is an avid soccer player and is planning a career as a graphic designer.
