What we do
The facility support service center maintains the grounds and facilities of all 42 locations, from stem to stern, that comprise Vancouver Public Schools. Our duties include anticipating and preventing facility-related issues; installing classroom technology; and providing safe, healthy learning environments for staff members and students. We also work to ensure that the district is compliant with regulations on everything from fire systems and indoor air quality to accommodations for people with disabilities.
A few areas of specialty include:
- Building operations
- Grounds
- Integrated pest management
- Environmental monitoring
- Carpentry
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Heating and cooling systems
- Painting
- Electronics
Our goal is to protect the community’s investment in its schools.
