Congratulations to Ann Medellin, who recently was named the 2016 Outstanding Music Educator by the Washington state chapter of the American String Teachers Association! Medellin was selected by colleagues from across the state.
She is a National Board-Certified teacher at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics and Thomas Jefferson Middle School.
“It takes a village! Music and the arts really round out and support our children’s lives. Thank you to the Vancouver School District for believing in the performing arts!
“I couldn’t be more humbled by this honor,” said Medellin.
She and the state association’s other honorees were recognized on Feb. 13 in Yakima, Washington.
